[music |over my head - the fray]

I haven't updated in many, many beers.

I am, in fact, alive. Um. Spring has sprung upon us, et c. I chopped off all my hair, eventually I will acquire photos of it in its curly glory. Well above the shoulders when I let the inner Shirley Temple come out.

My ego has increased exponentially since returning from France. This is something I will have to keep in check.

I am going to be working at Wheaton this summer again, in ACCOUNTING, no less. Office job where I don't have to deal with the general public? Air-conditioning? and sweet sweet summer living.

"Don't be so hasty, boy, for I can see this girl's dreams...oceans...oceans as far as the eye can see."

[music |Lovage - Strangers on a train]

It's been a while. I turned 21 yesterday. Celebrated with naan and sweet sweet Dane. And an hour at the RMV. Bitches.

So Paris is done! Has been done. And as Cott says:
cott: paris kills
cott: lets just tell the truth
cott: paris kills souls, innocence, hopes, dreams, et c. everything.

We have this outlook because of the New Year's Riot in which I broke 3 teeth.

But we also peed in what we thought was a bush under the Eiffel Tower, but turned out to be more of a highly visible shrub.

Back to the Wheat this weekend, and it is going to be the most glorious event ever. That is all.

I have traversed Europe. In one week, I went from Paris, across Germany to Prague, then back again, and then Chunnelled to London.

Things I have learned:
-Just how wrong it really can go
-How insanely good it can be
-America needs to get on the chips wagon
-Also, the Crepe Wagon
-The company makes all the difference
-Hobo gloves are the epitome of hot.
-You can take the kids out of Wheaton, but you can NEVER take the Wheaton out of the kids.
-A good friend will escort you all the way to your final mode of transportation.
-And many, many other things.

First of all, Happy Birthday Dane!!

Secondly, I am actually not running late today. I woke up around 9 to my cell phone alarm, which was for some reason on the floor, and I fell out of bed, frantically looking for it. Also, for some reason thought Seth was still here and promptly had a heart attack, wondering where he was. And now I am all showered and dressed, and I don't have to leave for another 40 minutes.

My family is coming back today. I am not exactly thrilled about this. But I am leaving on Friday, so it will be a brief encounter.

How about some more Scotland pictures? eh?

Happy Halloween, the French don't believe in it, so I am updating livejournal and eating cookies and hiding from the Fascist Youth meeting that is going on in the dining room. Again, if only I was kidding. The family is gone until Wednesday, but this evening I came back from gallivanting around Paris, and Timothee, the middle child and military son, was there. And informed me he was having a dinner party. So I left again, came back around 9:45, only to find the table full of young men, all lusty and fascisty, and doing a toast for LA FRANCE.

So I went to Scotland.

I am drinking instant coffee from a giant bowl. And sitting in my room, which I have successfully turned into a mini-dorm room. But it lacks all the pirates and debauching on my bed. Alas.

Monday I have no classes. Ever. Neither does Camille of Alabama, where they say fantastic phrases such as, "we need to have a come-to-Jesus." So Camille and I have decided to profiter bien de Paris! And now Monday is our jour de culture, or Culture Vulture day, if you will. Pour le premier jour de culture, nous sommes allees a l'expostion d'art au Grand Palais. Klimt, Schiele, Moser and Kokoschka. Next Monday, we're thinking about hitting up Versailles. Seth will be here too and I am beyond excited. Not to mention the debauching that will occur. But there, I did just mention it. We are going to debauch.

peace out lovahs.
